Visitors and prospective students will have a unique opportunity to interact and collaborate with scientists from diverse fields related to plant sciences, animal sciences, environmental sciences, and soil sciences. LEA is the home of the Chair of Tropical Ecology. Some facilities are available to support activities at the LEA, including: available accommodations for foreign students (MS & PhD) at Cotonou and in other different hinterland sites; Internet facilities for local & foreign students and researchers; Small freezers for germplasm storage (seed banks); Literature review facilities in the Library; and available technicians and researchers for fieldwork and data analyses.
In addition, Benin is the first democracy in Africa and a peaceful place. English visitors will also have an opportunity to learn and practice French.
